The first time I realized that I had a love for baking was as a young girl. Like many little girls, this love was sparked when I asked for and received my very own Easybake Oven. I used it every day and I experimented with mixing all of the little packaged formulas. I also enjoyed watching my mother bake during the holidays and was ready and willing to help her make the coveted family recipes.
My passion for baking & pastry arts was reawakened when I enrolled in a baking course while attending high school. I had one of the best teachers who reminded me of Julia Child in the way that she carried herself and her passion for food. She recognized a natural talent and ability in me before I could see it, and she encouraged and inspired me to learn more.
“I discovered that baking was about more than just an act or the taste of your products. It was also about creating art, emotions, and lasting memories.”
Over the years, I have enjoyed baking for my friends and family, and began selling my products in a home based business. I experienced success and satisfied customers, which inspired me to grow further. It has always been a dream of mine to one day have a storefront bakery café and serve the public with my culinary creations. This dream led me to attending and graduating from The Culinary Institute of America's AOS Baking & Pastry Arts Program. My experience allowed me to expand my fundamental knowledge and abilities in the area of baking & pastry arts.
I am supported in my endeavors by my husband, and my three beautiful boys. It is because of their love and encouragement that I continue to pursue my dreams.
